Broadlands is one of the most well-known planned communities in all of Ashburn and is popular among Ashburn, VA real estate buyers. This community was built in 2 phases, Broadlands and the more recently built Broadlands South. This huge community is located right off of the Dulles Greenway, and Truro Parish Drive runs through the middle of the neighborhood.
Homes for Sale in Broadlands, VA
Van Metre Homes built Broadlands and Broadlands South from the late 1990s to the early 2000s. The community, much like many communities in Loudoun County, is a mix of both single-family homes and townhomes. The single-family homes in Broadlands and Broadlands South typically have 3-5 bedrooms, 2-4.5 bathrooms, and 2200-3600+ square feet of living space. The single-family homes are of Virginian Colonial style, with brick or siding exteriors. Many of the homes are landscaped in a similar style of the neighborhood and outdoor living spaces, such as front porches and decks. The interiors are modern and full of desirable finishes. These include hardwood floors, double staircases, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, stone fireplaces, high ceilings, crown molding and much more.
The townhomes are very similar in style to the single-family homes, with brick and siding exteriors and some outdoor space. The size of the townhomes ranges from 2-4 bedrooms, 2.5-3.5 bathrooms and 1300-1800+ square feet of space. These townhomes have attached garages and many modern interior finishes, including hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, fireplaces, walk-in closets and much more.
Living in Broadlands
The community of Broadlands provides some of the best amenities in the area. There are designated nature sanctuaries and wetlands right on the property, including Stream Valley Park. Members of the community can also enjoy other amenities right on-site, including 3 community pools, the Broadlands Nature Center, tennis courts, bike trails and the Broadlands Community Center. The Broadlands Homeowners Association is also very active and organizes events and groups in the community, such as Flicks in the Sticks, Piranhas Swim Team, Saturday Nature Programs and much more.
Shopping in Broadlands
Besides the amenities and gorgeous homes, Broadlands is home to a shopping center and is near other Ashburn shopping and conveniences. Broadlands Village Shopping Center, which is right in the neighborhood, features a variety of stores and restaurants, including a dry cleaner, a Starbucks, and more. There are also some great restaurants right in the shopping center to check out, such as Bonefish Grill and Parallel Wine Bistro.
